Matti Rayman made 6 saves on 7 shots Wednesday evening as your Bulldogs fell 1-0 to a very talented, youthful Jackson High squad.
Otsego matched Jackson't 7 shots on goal, but couldn't find the finishing touch they needed to draw level, despite 6 second half corner kick opportunities. Jackson's goalkeeping duo were up to the test all evening, and particularly strong on a Grace VerHage shot low to the keeper's left midway through the second half.
Junior Lauren Nieboer put on a ball winning clinic in the center of the park for the Dawgs who just couldn't seem to make the final connection all evening. Petty, Gagneur, and a host of others were strong at the back and gave the opposing attacking duo fits.
A solid match all around, and another great early season test for the ladies.
